About

Hey there! Thanks for finding me in this little corner of the internet.

Have you ever been in a time in your life where everything feels like its changing, moving and slipping around you? I am right now – I’m having some unexpected problems with my inherited bleeding disorder (which you’re sure to hear me banging on about around here), I’ve finally discovered a form of exercise which lights up my soul (and my muscles, joints and sweat pores!) and I’ve connected with so many inspiring health and wellness warriors. Its all spinning in my head a bit, so I’m using my age-old method of sorting out all the weirdness – writing.

I certainly could’ve just bought a notebook and kept it under my bed, but I know I’m not the only one out there struggling to be well, or struggling with their bleeding disorder. I hope, in my own small way, I can help you understand your struggles and find a way to your happy, well paradise.

For me, the thing missing in my life has been wellness. Not in a narrowly-defined “absences of illness” kinda way, but the much bigger one, that has happiness, activity, authenticity, strength in my inherited condition, connectedness, and a strong self worth. This blog is about me finding, making and seeking out wellness in all its guises. And probably some other stuff. I really like tea, so that will probably make an appearance.

Some more personal stuff? My name is Jenna and I’m Australian. I’m sure you’ll pick up some other tidbits in my posts.

I’d love to hear from people, please let me know your thoughts in the comments.

    Hi, Jenna – I’m Alicia.

I comment as ABE – followed you here from Lily White LeFever’s blog.

    Nice to meet you.

BTW – HOW do you get the picture at the top of your blog to go all the way across? I am using the free Twenty Twelve there, and it refuses to put my picture all the way across. It irks me – how do you like this theme? (it says you have twenty ten below).

Always nice to meet another writer.

Thanks – I think it just comes down to how each theme is defined.

I checked into it originally, and couldn’t find one of the support staff who even knew what I was talking about (the picture not going all the way across the page); my guess is that if I change themes to the twenty ten one you use, my picture will go all the way across.

    Just minor stuff.

I’ve been blogging alittle longer than you have (Sep. 2012), and being a former programmer, have dug into a lot of the available features and tweaked them until they worked for me – but haven’t managed to get the picture across yet, even by making it much wider than my previous picture.

Don’t worry about it – it was really just saying hi.
    Alicia

Hi Jenna, thanks for checking out my blog. I had not heard of vWB disease until a few weeks ago when I found out a friend had it – explains his bruises – funny how once you discover a word or a something it makes a reappearance. I’m a tea drinker too. Russian caravan, soy milk and fresh ginger is the standard. Might be time to put the kettle on as I peruse your blog…the wellness goal is mine too. Thumbs up to us getting there.
