World Blood Donor Day

Just a quickie this morning, and a direct copy from my fb status update (I know, totally cheating!). Get to it!

Today is World Blood Donor Day. If you’re a regular donor, or a even needle-phobe, I’d strongly encourage you to consider donating. Not only will it help people in car crashes or accidents, people with cancer or anyone who has needed surgery, you might even be helping out someone like me, someone with an inherited bleeding disorder. Blood donations not only save lives, but they improve the ongoing quality of life for so many people. In Australia, the Red Cross manages blood donations: http://www.donateblood.com.au/
