Sunlight streams through the window. It is both welcomed and unfamiliar. Months and months of rain, gloom and grey have been her constant companion, but today is the beginning of the up-swing. Blue skies, with only cotton-candy wisps of cloud visible. There’s even warmth in the sun’s rays, a beautiful addition to the picture painted outside.
It has been a long, cold year, so much of it a winter. With difficulty in so many of life’s areas, health, movement, work and happiness. All taking concurrent, consecutive and jumbled slips, as well as massive leaps forward. All of the confusion and success and set backs tumbled into one winding 8 months.
There have been other periods like this, but this one is different. It hasn’t been just a chink in the armour, but an exercise in resilience building. New muscle and strength are present, and they aren’t going away. For some, Spring might mean hope or positivity, but for her, its the opportunity to use her new strength, to enjoy the summer to come.
